Hood River is the county seat of Hood River County and was discovered by Lewis and Clark in 1805 Hood River is also considered a port on the Columbia River and buying a home in Hood River can be a wonderful investment.  Located at the crossroads of the spectacular Columbia River Gorge and the magnificent Cascade Range, Hood River County is a scenic wonderland of natural beauty in every season.
